HARMON FINANCIAL CORPORATION is a family owned business. Our company began in 1968 as CLAY HARMON & CO., and in 1974 incorporated as HARMON FINANCIAL CORPORATION. Since that time, we have become one of California’s most experienced and trusted resources specializing in the placement of private investment funds into trust deeds secured by California real estate. HARMON FINANCIAL CORPORATION is licensed by the California State Department of Real Estate as real estate brokers, and we are members of the California Mortgage Association.
Our Principals
CLAY W. HARMON Clay is the original founder of Harmon Financial Corporation. As a pioneer of investing private money into Trust Deeds, he formed Clay Harmon & Co. in 1968 and incorporated the company into Harmon Financial Corporation in 1974. The investment of private funds into trust deed loans was primarily dominated by institutional lenders up until that point. As a licensed real estate broker and, an officer of the company, Clay is involved with all aspects of the organization.		ELIZABETH H. NICHOLAS (Betsy Harmon Nicholas) Betsy graduated from U.C. Davis with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1991. She joined Harmon Financial Corporation in 2004, after serving as Vice President to one of the top three insurance brokerage firms in the nation. As a licensed real estate broker and, an officer of the company, Betsy is involved with all aspects of the organization.
